Public bug reported: Hi!
I have an Ubuntu 10.10 server installation (upgraded from 10.04) and saned is causing problems. When started in standalone mode (-a) it always creates 2 processes. One works normally, the other one constantly writes errors to syslog. On my atom machine this behaviour results in appr. 170% CPU load (constantly), making the system almost unusable. The same bug already existed in 10.04 but seems to be fixed upstream: https://alioth.debian.org/tracker/?func=detail&atid=410366&aid=312422&group_id=30186 It seems that saned fails to detach from init after startup...
