I had a look at the source code and just added a "-f" to the rm, but this cannot be the culprit since it was enclosed by a if [ -d ... ] test for the same directory. Hm. I would prefer to wait for a another report on this issue before investigating this further, preferably one without the mandb crash. I just don't have any idea on what could have gone wrong. Is /var/lib/boinc-client existing on your machine, btw?
