Public bug reported:
If I have headphones plugged in to the front jack of my desktop computer, while
the speakers are plugged into the back, if I try to control the volume, it
modifies the volume of BOTH outputs, regardless of settings I change in sound
preferences.
Basically, the 'jack sense' is broken, and the OS does not differentiate
between the headphones and speakers.
I'm using linux kernel 2.6.35 (the one that's included with Maverick Meerkat
10.10, 64-bit), and alsa-base version 1.0.23.
