Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compiz

Due to well-known problems of latest Nvidia closed drivers to manage suspend to
ram and suspend to disk, I've installed in Feisty the 8 serie Nvidia display
drivers.
They need Xgl server to load compiz.
My setup launches Xgl and X at login and if I do ps ax I get:

 /usr/bin/Xgl :0 -fullscreen -br -accel xv:fbo -accel glx:pbuffer -auth
/var/lib/gdm/:0.Xauth -nolisten tcp vt7

/usr/bin/Xorg -br vt7 -auth /tmp/.Xgl-auth-ibAJ2f -nolisten tcp :93
-terminate

The problem is that desktop effects don't start.
If I run compiz --replace I get:

/usr/bin/compiz.real: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is missing
/usr/bin/compiz.real: Failed to manage screen: 0
/usr/bin/compiz.real: No manageable screens found on display :0.0
Window manager warning: "" found in configuration database is not a valid value
for keybinding "toggle_shaded"

and nothing happens.
I have the latest compiz ubuntu upgraded packages

BTW: beryl works

Regards,
Stefano
