Hi, I've got a similar Problem. After upgrading from Ubuntu 10.04 to 10.10 I've could only sometimes see the menubar - was hollow and now fonts were displayed. Since unity needs OpenGL (or something like this?) I installed the ATI fglrx driver via synaptics. Made the problem worse: After rebooting the desktop was blank - only the background picture - the mouse is invisible now, and no menu is shown and clicking has no effect. But the worst: I can switch to a console via CTRL+ATL+F1, but i can't login despite using the right name and password >> all numbers are interpreted as special characters whether CAPS-LOCK is activated or not - son no chance to log in correctly with a password that contains numbers. Is there a bugfix for this problem(s)?
By the way, I'm running Ubuntu NBR 10.10 on a Toshiba Sattelite MX40 - Intel Centrino 1,6 GHz - ATI Radeon Mobility X600. -- [i915GM] no top panel no menu bar https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/667208 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
