This has nothing to do with pam; unsetting the package. The errors show failed login attempts on the console. If the getty on /dev/tty3 is receiving input while in a graphical session, that means the X session is running on the wrong tty. Please check this with '$ sudo grep VT /var/log/gdm/:0.log'.
In any event, there has been no further feedback from the submitter since before the 10.04 LTS release. This is most likely a bug related to VT allocation that has already been fixed; please confirm whether this problem is reproducible in 10.04 LTS or later. ** Package changed: pam (Ubuntu) => ubuntu ** Tags removed: karmic lucid maverick -- My user session closes randomly [Karmic] https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/511774 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
