Description: Ubuntu 10.10 Release: 10.10 synaptic: Installed: 0.63.1ubuntu14 Candidate: 0.63.1ubuntu14 Version table: *** 0.63.1ubuntu14 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Expected: With the "Delete downloaded packages after installation" option enabled in Settings -> Preferences -> Files tab -> Temporary Files, the packages in /var/cache/apt/archives are deleted after installation from Synaptic, Update Manager, and Software Center. Actually Happens: Packages remain in /var/cache/apt/archives after installation.
