Marc: if you could try the kernel suggested by Steve in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/+source/linux/+bug/605047/comments/20 it would be great, otherwise I will have to install Lucid again in a partition of my E6410 laptop just to try it, since I have updated already to Maverick.
