Duplicate Bug Report: - I have just noticed Bug #663887 (Left internal speaker not working in Maverick [Sony Vaio F11 / ALC275])
This appears to be an identical bug report. It describes the issue very well. The only difference is that I am running 10.04 rather than 10.10 and my laptop is F12 (but sound card is same anyway). I also experienced the issue of the trade-off between both speakers working but not the microphone OR the microphone works but not the left speaker.
