I am getting similar behaviour, and a similar message in syslog: Running 10.10, up to date, on older Toshiba with graphics chipset ATI Radeon Mobility 9100 IGP (U3) 5835.
When I move my mouse over to the launcher to start up an application, as the cursor moves onto an icon, the launcher "disapears", then the top bar "disappears", then the whole screen goes black, then it is redrawn and looks fine. This happens in about the same time it takes to read this paragraph. In my log I see lots of messages like this: Nov 13 15:40:41 temuko kernel: [ 1495.673584] mutter[3443]: segfault at 0 ip 04bfa11c sp bf8dd730 error 4 in libclutk-0.3.so.0.360.0[4beb000+4e000] -- unity crashes if the cursor is brought on the launcher https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/641499 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
