Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: shotwell

All of our photos are on a server, which we access from laptops over
ssh.

I opened shotwell and the folder was in the import dialog, so I chose
it. It started the import. Some time later, it appeared to hang, so I
force-closed the window.

>From then on, opening shotwell immediately crashes:
$ shotwell
**
ERROR:DirectoryMonitor.vala:510:directory_monitor_real_internal_notify_directory_discovered:
 assertion failed: (updated)
Aborted

Interestingly to me, this happens even if I delete the ~/.shotwell
folder.

If I reboot, and the remote ssh location is not mounted, shotwell opens
(but with all the photos marked as "missing files"). As an aside, I
would prefer shotwell to mount the remote location automatically, as
programs like Rhythmbox do.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
