Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ntfs-3g
I have Ubuntu 10.04 and Windows 7 installed on my laptop in a dual-boot configuration. It seems that files copied from Ubuntu onto the NTFS- formatted Windows 7 partition cannot be read in Windows 7, which fails with the error "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable." Also, having copied a directory from Ubuntu to \Users\Jacob\Application Data, when cd'ing into the Application Data folder and running dir, I receive the error "File Not Found". There are many other reports about this problem, some dating back to 2008: http://guide.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=4143316 http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=964659 ** Affects: ntfs-3g (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Windows 7 reports files copied by Ubuntu 10.04 as " corrupted and unreadable" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/675290 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
