Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

System hangs when using firefox (as simple as a google search right after boot).
It was found that this bug is avoided when System>Preference>Appearence>Visual
Effects is set to "None". Crashes with "Normal" setting.

Latest Ubuntu 10.10 (first time trying out Ubuntu). Disappointed with
not being able to use Firefox. But now I can live without visual effects
until the bug is fixed.
