Binary package hint: apt
The new update to packages apt, apt-transport-https and apt-utils (v.
0.8.8ubuntu3) seriously slows down the newest synaptic (v. 0.70~pre2ubuntu1).
Scrolling synaptic is more or less impossible.
I have a fully upgraded Natty 64-bit.
I also NVidia GTX 285 graphics card and I am using stable
nvidia-current_260.19.12 driver.
Downgrading apt packages to the previous version 0.8.8ubuntu2 works and
all is well.
