First, I verified that all cards in my system are set up with max
recordings =1; actually, I never even entered the recordings options,
let alone changed them.

Second, you did look into the screenshots I provided? The capturecard
one shows in column videodevice "/dev/dvb/adapter2/frontend0" being
listed twice with column cardid showing 1 and 2. And the cardinput
screenshot shows each cardid linked to a separate cardinputid. Yet while
the mythtv-setup still shows only a single card, the backend-status
under mythweb shows 2 cards, and the system status in a frontend shows 2
tuners.

Furthermore, when exiting mythtv-setup it regularly complained about
input for tuner 2 pointing to a non-existing channel. However, I can't
change that from mythtv-setup, neither that card nor its input is
showing in mythtv-setup!

I fixed that by manually deleting the card 2 and input 2 from the
respective tables using phpmyadmin. It then worked as expected.

My hardware now on 0.24 is fully identical to when I used 0.23, where
this card problem did not occur. Neither did it occur when I used
previous mythtv versions, where my hardware was mostly the same. Why
then is it not a regression?

Let me know what you want me to check and I'll do. I have 4 tuners on 3
cards (1 DVB-T, 1 twin DVB-T, 1 DVB-S).
