I think I can reproduce this (2.8.2dev.6).

launchpad isn't really a good place to report bugs, since they're rarely
fixed in Ubuntu - it's using a moderately old version of Debian testing.
The "lynx-cur" package in Debian gets the most bug-reports (other than
the lynx-dev mailing list).
