Public bug reported: If I have headphones plugged in to the front jack of my desktop computer, and speakers plugged into the back, the speakers don't become mute. Additionally, Ubuntu not differentiate between the headphones and speakers. Control volume modifies the volume of both outputs, independently of settings I change in sound preferences. I try with alsamixer but nothing hapen, and there is not any option "jack sense", like i read in some where.
I try: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules and: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshooting Nothing hapen. Sorry my bad english.
