Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: playonlinux

I have upgraded from ubuntu 10.04 to Ubuntu 10.10

In 10.04 i didnot have any issues with Playonlinux & IE6 running in it.

But as i have upgraded the problems started appearing. my IE6 was
refusing to get open. So I completely removed Playonlinux & wine package
& reinstalled them afresh in ubuntu 10.10.

playonlinux:
  Installed: 3.8.5
  Candidate: 3.8.5
  Version table:
 *** 3.8.5 0

But still problems persist, as i tried to installed IE6, its still not running
well and gives me blank browser screen. So I am not able to open any any
websites. This is what exactly happens --->
browser is able to detect the website, the title of the page changes
accordingly with the website, but the page content never appears. Also when the
mouse pointer is moved on the browser screen it constantly shows busy icon. If
it is continued for longer, Ubuntu 10.10 hangs and need to manually switch off
the machine.
I have checked with internet connection; its fine & working; its the genuine
issue with Playonlinux in ubuntu 10.10 only.

I have attached the screenshot of page with IE6 which appears blank in
playonlinux
