As reported 12/17/2009: Add me to the list of folks who have trashed media trying up-to-date versions of both Brasero and GnomeBaker on Ubuntu 9.10. I have a new low-end HP desktop with a 16x DVD-/+RW drive, and I am using DVD-R media. I am just trying to burn 1 large (4GB) file to a data DVD. I have tried 16x and 4x. The message I get from both apps is:
:-[ wr...@lba=e0h failed with SK=5h/INVALID ADDRESS FOR WRITE]: Invalid argument :-[ write failed: Invalid argument btw... As a newbie, I had no idea before now that the information in the Bug Description is generated by a simple command called "apport" (also known as "ubuntu-bug.") Now I guess I wonder why each of us was not prompted to submit this level of detail when we clicked "Does this bug affect you?" Also, a link to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/HowToTriage might reduce the opacity of the Triage process (and hence the frustration) of beginners.
