Hello Gulu
Sorry for delay and sorry for the bad reply
software sources is no loger under System - Admin.(how many things changes
every six month! and the next will be a partial revolution)
Click on Applications - Ubuntu software center - Modify (or edit, i'm
translating), - Software sources
Click on Updates tab, check that Proposed and backports are not enabled, then
below verify that in the button appear ' Normal releases', elsewhere click the
button and select it.
Close
open a Terminal and type:
sudo apt-get clean
then run again Update Manager.
If don't work, please click on Places - Computer - File System - etc - apt -
right click on sources.list file and select open with 'text editor', copy and
paste here.
Or more simply in a terminal
cat /etc/apt/sources.list copy all the output and paste
Regards
Fabio
