I tested this with USC 3.0.5 in Ubuntu 10.10, by installing Audacity.
When I clicked the "Install" button, it became insensitive. Then the
authentication prompt appeared. Once I'd authenticated, there was a
delay (bug 642991), then the button was replaced by a progress bar. When
the installation finished, the progress bar was replaced by a "Remove"
button.
So, I think this bug is fixed. If you think it is not, please supply
detailed steps to reproduce the problem.
