If I may comment: This bug seems to have become active since Jaunty. I have struggled with it from Jaunty through to Maverick. Nothing that I have tried has produced any satisfactory results. It affects users who do not have an internet connection and are depending on DVDs to install from the repositories.
My request is that Synaptic be configured to work the same as it did with Intrepid while reading and installing from repository DVDs. It seems, from what I read in the forums, that only a small change is required. This would go far for users who are forced to rely on the DVD repositories. I also request that the problem be given some urgency so that users like myself can progress beyond Intrepid and could possibly start using the Natty repositories when it becomes available. -- Could not download all repository indexes - when including CD in repositories https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/578830 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
