Public bug reported:
This is exactly bug #614176, but it's supposed to be fixed, and it's
not. It's happening in my Acer Travelmate 290 just upgraded to maverick.
Suspend to disk and resume act as a workaround.
My best choice for a kernel is still 2.6.33-02063305, the PPA from
Lucid. It shows the cursor, plus mplayer and kaffeine work (in 2.6.35
videos only play from inside Firefox.
