It seems, that this error doesn't longer exist in the current version.
But I don't wonder, since the report was filed almost two versions
ago... Quality insurace must prioritize, if there are too many bug
reports and it is not enough time to review and fix it.

But what about the 100% CPU usage during setup since Karmic or even
before? I just installed Kubuntu Maverrick these days on another AMD
dualcore CPU based Notebook and switching from one step to the next took
up to several minutes again. Same on an Intel quadcore CPU based desktop
PC some weeks ago. Maybe, that only affects the Kubuntu installer, but
that makes it almost unusable and I am considering switching from
Kubuntu to another distribution, only because of that... I think, all
affected computers use AMD graphics (Radeon driver), maybe there is a
dependency.
