It seems, that this error doesn't longer exist in the current version. But I don't wonder, since the report was filed almost two versions ago... Quality insurace must prioritize, if there are too many bug reports and it is not enough time to review and fix it.
But what about the 100% CPU usage during setup since Karmic or even before? I just installed Kubuntu Maverrick these days on another AMD dualcore CPU based Notebook and switching from one step to the next took up to several minutes again. Same on an Intel quadcore CPU based desktop PC some weeks ago. Maybe, that only affects the Kubuntu installer, but that makes it almost unusable and I am considering switching from Kubuntu to another distribution, only because of that... I think, all affected computers use AMD graphics (Radeon driver), maybe there is a dependency. -- Lucid Alpha 3 not installable!!!!! https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/529217 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
