Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: lingot

Ubuntu 10.10 x64:

1.)
When I open Lingot and click on Bearbeiten (edit), Einstellungen (settings),
set audio to ALSA and Audio dev to hw:1 and click on Anwenden (Apply), it works
so I can use the lingot.
But if I click on OK to close the settings window, lingot freezes.
Note: I have two soundcards, and hw:1 is not used by pulseaudio. Jackd is not
running here.

2.)
Wenn I set the audio system to Jack while jackd is not running, it works as
expected and says that jackd is not running. This is ok.
When I close lingot and start jackd, I'm unable to start lingot using jackd
because lingot segfaults immediately.
When jackd is not running I can at least open lingot.

When I start lingot while jackd is not running and i start jackd
afterwards and go to the audio-settings within lingot and click on
apply, lingot tries to connect to jack. This works as I can see the
lingot sink within jack control. But at this time lingot crashes (see
attached file for console output).
