Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: lshw

I get a bad encoding for some "lastmountpoint" value when I use "sudo
lshw -xml". It causes problems when reading xml with xml.dom.minidom in
python. "lshw -xml" (without sudo) works fine, but that's because it
doesn't contain this lastmountpoint line.

$ sudo lshw -xml | grep lastmountpoint
              <setting id="lastmountpoint"
value="/media/old80gb\s-a,-a...@k,X" />
              <setting id="lastmountpoint"
value="/media/300gb\L'mll[x...@u=]" />
            <setting id="lastmountpoint"
value="/Rz?SdfWz6xRz" />
            <setting id="lastmountpoint"
value="/homeiix...@~xwi" />
