In earlier releases of ubuntu the u530 card was detected in serial and
got /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyUSB1 from udev to work properly with modem-
manager. Now the creation of the usb nodes are missing and the modem is
not recognized by network manager.

As in many postings these cards works out of the box from hardy 6.06,
till now....
