The patch from https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=38868 has been accepted upstream (see: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git;a=commit;h=27d64339a8d8465484286a2da93f5f6c36be5c3d) So why not apply it to the Maverick kernel?
