i think this is rather a wishlist, as it would introduce a new feature.

checks are done (no password / email data through unsecure wifi-nets),

However, this can now be done easily with $ killall mail-notification,
if you are skilled, you could even write a script to tell nm to kill
mail-notification once (unsecure) wifi is enabled. It would be a cool
feature if you e.g. watch a film, but i think the handling of
notification-supression should be done by gnome.
