On a Maverick (ubuntu 10.10) system (using OpenOffice 3.2.1-7), when I
try to open a .ppt file containing audio, the slides show, but the sound
doesn't play. Otherwise sound works on this system. If I take the same
.ppt file and open it on a Lucid (ubuntu 10.04) system (using OpenOffice
3.2.0-7), the sound plays properly.
Maybe this is a regression in OpenOffice?
