This exact same issue is occuring for me as well. I am using Ubuntu 10.10 Netbook Remix (which i have patched) installed on an Acer Aspire One AOD250-1151 Netbook. If I select shutdown and/or restart from the power menu, the machine clears the desktop and instantly freezes at the "purple screen". I have tried the following and they result in the same
# sudo shutdown -r now # sudo shutdown -h now I have verified that the ISOs pass the MD5 checksum. In order to possibly expedite resolution to this issue, I have attached copies of my own logs in hope that it will help resolve the issue.
