Your "closing" is bogus. It's clearly wrongheaded behaviour for Eye of Gnome to open a .gif file, yet refuse to allow you to save that .gif file. My wife uses Thunderbird for email and opened an attachment which was a .gif file then wanted to save that same file, unchanged. Eye of Gnome threw up a confusing message saying that it was unable to save that file, despite having the raw bytes sitting right there on its input.
This is either: a) a valid bug in Eye of Gnome, or alternatively; b) a bug in Ubuntu using Eye of Gnome as the default viewer for .gif files. -- Unable to save as .gif https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/614936 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
