I modified the dmraid-activate script as per the post above, with
partial success. It does not however play well with my configuration of
multiple RAID arrays. I think it may serve as a temporary work around
until it a longer term solution can be found.

Below is partial output of the script with "! /bin/sh -x" set to display
intermediate results.
