I'm not sure I agree that this is exactly a duplicate of bug 625234.
The reason is that fixing that bug would not be enough to fix this one.
LVM and RAID writing are both, separately, unimplemented in GRUB, and
both methods need to be implemented in order to fix this bug. Only LVM
writing needs to be implemented in order to fix bug 625234.
