Ok, I got some new info on this bug. I disconnected the battery and try to boot live USB, and it didn't shut off it... so I'm thinking it may has to do with the battery drivers, or something.
I can boot 10.10 from a live usb stick, I have installed 10.04 in order to keep using the laptop.
