As far as I can tell, this is the combination of three separate bugs:
Bug #420583: "Notify-osd looks are not customizable"
Bug #420514: "Position of notification bubbles could be configurable"
Bug #346095: "Regression: bubble location setting from notification-daemon is
not migrated to notify-osd"
If you find another problem not covered by these three bugs, please file
a separate specific bug rather than expanding the scope of the previous
bugs unnecessarily by commenting.
