Public bug reported:
I just ran update manager and it updated my kernel from 2.6.32-25 to
2.6.32-26 and now my wirless N connection at home drops randomly for
minutes at a time. Rebooting, restarting networking, changing from
dhcpclient to dhcpcd, and replacing network manager with wicd have made
no difference. Machine comes up, sees network connects, then after a
few minutes, drops connection. Sometimes it comes back, sometimes not.
Either way, it doesn't stay up for long. I have looked at bug 548992
and while the behaviour is similar, for me, this ONLY happens if I boot
the new -26 kernel.
I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit on a Toshiba T235D with an atheros
AR9285 using the ath9k driver. My wireless router is a buffalo WZR-HP-
G300NH running dd-wrt v24 SP2.
Using WPA1 or WPA2 both result in the same behaviour.
I will try this on 2.6.32.25 to double check that it doesn't have this
issue, and that the problem is confined to 2.6.32.26
