Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xrdp
I have been having trouble getting XRDP to work with nearly every application in Ubuntu. Some critical examples are a gnome terminal or the gnome-system-monitor. Both of these crash immediately upon starting. I've never been able to see what is actually happening since I can't start a terminal to monitor stderr or stdout while running the program under xrdp however I stumbled across the following post today: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1624197 This person apparently was able to get out of it the following error: *** glibc detected *** gnome-system-monitor: free(): corrupted unsorted chunks: 0x0a098708 *** ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: xrdp 0.5.0~20100303cvs-4 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-22.35-generic 2.6.35.4 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-22-generic x86_64 Architecture: amd64 Date: Sat Nov 27 23:30:57 2010 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release amd64 (20101007) ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: xrdp ** Affects: xrdp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug maverick -- Programs run under XRDP crash with "free(): corrupted unsorted chunks:" error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/682279 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
