Dell Latitude D620 with ubuntu 10.10, security and recommended upgrades applied. I had the same problem since first installation of 10.10, while no problems were present in 10.04: slow ping, high latency, slow speed, also connecting to the very home page of my router. I tried all I could, also disabling IPv6 either in firefox and in grub, but nothing happened. The problem is so relevant that I just downgraded to Lucid 10.04. Very frustrating...
