Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: base-files

That was scary, right after upgrading to natty i was unable to run firefox and
chrome only epiphany, in terminal one could see:
/usr/lib/firefox-4.0b7/firefox-bin: /usr/local/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version
`GLIBCXX_3.4.14' not found (required by /usr/lib/firefox-4.0b7/libxul.so)

Then after reboot X wouldn't start! And apt-get was refusing to run
with the same c++ error, thanks to failsafe mode i recovered back, but
screen was flickering and no way to change refresh rate neither with
monitor settings nor in nvidia settings, and even manually editing
xorg.conf and restarting X wouldn't make change.

So in failsafe i removed /usr/local/lib/libstdc++* and replaced with 14
from /usr/lib seems did the trick. Now I'm in classic mode, i think,
default desktop edition (one with the trash sidebar) is frozen
