You need to reinstall network-manager for example with a comman like
this:

sudo apt-get install network-manager-gnome

Also bug #647655 is related. But I doubt if we can force network-manager
installation when removing indicator-network. Mathieu, do you have any
thoughts about this?

connman DNS domain support is handled in bug #604851.
