To be able to scan you have to set up your printer for printing with the
HPLIP "hp" CUPS backend. To do so, you can set it up with "hp-setup" or
with system-config-printer. Both select the correct backend
automatically for you. Do not use the web interface of CUPS.
The scanner driver finds available scanners through the existing CUPS
queues with the "hp" backend.
