Public bug reported:
I've had problems with Feisty(likely X freezes, applications crashing,
etc.) so I tried to download and install the updates.
However, Package manager: "Installing software" stalls when installing
the updates. It stops at "Preparing to configure libdecoration0" and
doesn't proceed further. (Somehow, when I tried to copy the data by
hitting Ctrl-C, it caused Package Manager to force the installation to
fail... strange, indeed.)
My recommendation is to configure Package Manager to skip any
problematic, non-critical installs and instead, show a list of the
software that failed to install. That is, if Package Manager doesn't do
this already.
