Bug solved.
In fact what was happening is that I didn't notice the first password request 
was for nautilus that for some reason died and refused to disappear even after 
a system reboot.
It's nevertheless strange, other processes that die because I had to kill the 
session don't stay alive after a system reboot, the only exception I'm aware of 
is firefox that asks if we want to resume the previous session.
Perhaps because it was invoked with sudo nautilus and my session was killed I 
had not enough priveleges to kill that process and it stood like a "live" 
zombie.
That in my opinion this is a bug, the system should have terminated it no 
matter what.
