** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: unity

  RELEASE: Natty Narwhal
CD/DVD VARIANT: 32bit Ubuntu Alternate cd
  ISO BUILD: Alpha1 pre-release 2010-11-30.1

  SYMPTOMS:
After installing, I ran the updates using "sudo apt-get update" and "sudo
apt-get dist-upgrade". I did note 'ubuntu-desktop' being removed by the update.
After updating, I restarted. When loggin in, I get a blank wallpaper with a
cursor. There are desktop panels or dock.

CAUSE: spoke to didrocks on IRC #ubuntu-devel; appears that glxinfo
does not return software rendered. He requested I run "compiz --replace"
stacktrace, but my efforts failed. I do not know what "nux" is to
install the debugging symbols as requested on
  https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UnityFilingBugs.

  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  1. install Natty from the Ubuntu Alternate i386 image
  2. run updates
  3. restart

Additional notes: The installation was done using an ATI Radeon 9800
video card with 128MB ram. After this issue, I removed that card and
installed the Nvidia NX6200 AGP video card with 256MB ram, and logged in
to the classic desktop. I then installed the hardware video drivers and
  restarted.
