Can you please post the output of the sensors command when sensors-
applet shows duplicate sensors and when it doesn't show duplicates?

Also could you post the output when running sensors-applet from the command 
line.
Open a terminal and type:

killall sensors-applet

and hit Return. Then a window should appear saying:

"Hardware Sensors Monitor" has quit unexpectedly.
If you reload a panel object, it will automatically be added back to the panel.

DON'T CLICK ANYTHING YET. Go back to the terminal window and type:

/usr/lib/gnome-panel/sensors-applet

and hit Return. Then go back to the pop-up window and choose 'Reload' at
which point a heap of output should appear in the terminal window from
sensors-applet - please copy this and attach it to this bug report.
