@charles, Could you please run the 'lsusb' command in a Terminal on your system and reply with the output from that command? This will give us the necessary USB IDs for your 3G device to be able to diagnose the issue.
You might also want to try on a Live Session using a CD of the latest Ubuntu release: 10.10, Maverick Meerkat, to see if the issue has already been resolved. See http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/get-ubuntu for instructions on how you can get the latest Ubuntu release. In the meantime, I'm reassigning this to usb-modeswitch, which is more likely to be where the issue is. ** Package changed: network-manager (Ubuntu) => usb-modeswitch (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: usb-modeswitch (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: usb-modeswitch (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- network manager .8 wont open wizard for a600 cricket 3g, no useable inet connection https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/669700 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
