For me, both trackpad and trackpoint are unresponsive for 5-10 seconds after resume, as per the original bugreport
Additionally, on about half my resumes, the trackpoint (and associated buttons) don't work at all, but the trackpad does. My usual workaround for this is to sleep and resume the computer again, which usually works - sometimes two goes are necessary.
