I tried the most recent seeming mainline kernel image I could find, which was v2.6.37-rc3-natty. (If I should try a non-rc image, or a maverick-specific image rather than natty, please let me know which one to try and I will give it a go).
The results were bad. With the newer kernel, the machine won't even suspend, getting hung up on the following step (from pm-suspend.log): /usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/70action_wpa suspend suspend: success. Running hook /usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/75modules suspend suspend: Unloading kernel module ath9k.. I might be able to run the resume script to bring it back to normal, but I just reboot. I have similar behaviour on the current kernel (now 2.6.35-23) when hibernating, but instead of aborting, the process is just delayed a minute or so at similar points in the log messages, and then completes successfully. ** Tags removed: needs-upstream-testing -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/675076 Title: Resume from suspend fails on Compaq CQ61 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
