I have similar issues happened to my system; it absolutely requires "pci=noacpi" or "acpi=off" kernel options to boot up uder Ubuntu 10.10. The system has been working fine in 10.04.
Tried the kernel found in http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel- ppa/mainline/v2.6.37-rc2-maverick/ and the system no longer required any of those kernel parameters to boot up successfully. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/680073 Title: acpi bug with ubuntu10.10 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
